We close on Thanksgiving, on Christmas Day, and for the first week of August, when the whole family goes somewhere with air conditioning that is not this building.

Four people around a table mid-meal, plates and bottles between them, laughing at something off to the side.
Table eleven, a Friday, about eight.
The back room

Eighteen at one table, if you want it.

There is a room behind the bar with one long table and a door that closes. Birthdays, a christening lunch, a wake, a work thing. No room fee and no minimum — you just eat off the same menu like everybody else.

Ring Tono a week ahead and tell him roughly how many. He will ask what the occasion is, and he will remember.

Ring about the back room

Everything else Asked and answered

If it is not here, ring us. Somebody is by the phone from four.

Do I need a reservation?

Most nights, no. Walk in, and if there is a wait it is usually twenty minutes with a drink at the bar. Book ahead for five people or more, and for a Friday or Saturday after six — those two nights fill.

Can I bring the kids?

Yes, and we mean it. High chairs, booster seats, and a plate of plain buttered pasta for anyone under six. It is not on the menu and it has never appeared on a bill.

Do you do takeout?

Yes, the same menu from the same kitchen. Ring it in, give us about twenty-five minutes, and pick it up at the end of the bar. We do not use any of the delivery apps.

Is the building accessible?

The Davie Boulevard door has one step. The door from the back lot is step-free, wide, and the one we would rather you use. The restroom is accessible; the back room is on the same level as everything else.

What about food we cannot eat?

Tell whoever seats you and it goes onto the ticket in the kitchen, not just into somebody's head. Gluten, dairy, pork and shellfish are all workable on most of the menu. Fried things share a fryer, and we will say so.

Can I bring a cake?

Bring it. No fee, no fuss. Hand it to Tono when you come in and it will appear at the right moment with the right number of candles.

Cards, cash, tipping?

All the cards, and cash. Tips are not added to the bill and are split with the kitchen. There is no service charge and there never has been.

Dogs?

Four tables out front under the awning are yours. Water bowl by the door. Not inside, which is a health department rule rather than ours.

Getting here Two ways
Driving

From I-95

Exit at Davie Boulevard, head west for about a mile. We are on the left after SW 24th Avenue. Turn down SW 24th for the lot behind.

Bus

Broward County route 9

Stops on Davie Boulevard at SW 24th Avenue, which is more or less our front door.

Then

Just come in

Sit at the bar if the tables are full. It is the same menu and, most nights, the better seat.
